New Orleans 2010 – Part 3

January 19th, 2010 | Activities, Culture, Escapes, Food

The morning was rough after the cocktail tour and run in with absinthe. The only cure was to be brunch and a bloody mary it was decided. Off we went to Brennan’s, which I think is famous for inventing Banana’s Foster, but I might not be totally correct on that.

Audrey outside and prepped for a big meal, which included turtle soup, some eggs benedict manifestation and the bananas foster.

Here it is… pretty tasty stuff

Feeling much better!

Our plan for the day was to go check out a cemetary and some mansions.

We didn’t manage to make it to any of the really awesome mansions, but this cat satisfied us.

Big unknown church

Bourbon Street is probably the most sinful place in the country. I’ve never seen anywhere else in the US where you can see a live sex show… we didn’t make it to that one :P

Lots of oysters here.. so many they just started giving them to us.

The streetcars were cool, but I had no idea how the whole system worked. I pulled a cable when our stop was approaching, a loud noise was made, and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Chalk one up for being a dumb tourist!
