The Bottles

June 29th, 2008 | General

Today was the day of bottle cleansing. Audrey will be happy to know that the bottles that have been occupying part of our kitchen are now 100% de-labeled, washed and sitting in the living-room.  Well, I might take them to the shed tomorrow, but that was a good amount of effort for today.

We’ve been saving [...]

More Jorzee Shore

June 22nd, 2008 | Escapes, Human Stupidity

After tumbling into the Atlantic Ocean, air-drying by running on the beach seemed like a good idea. Later I left my pants hanging to dry from the porch of a $3m beach home. I think that was an HOA violation because I found my pants in the backyard the next day.

Karaoke with Strangers

Vincent is “the new guy” around my office. He previously worked at New York Presbyterian and a couple of Fridays ago one of his co-workers from that fine establishment was leaving to go to California. What a tangled web we weave!
With that said, I was invited to go to an after-work farewell party for someone [...]

Happy Father’s Day!

June 15th, 2008 | General

So the number one thing that sucks about being in New York is being so far from family and days like today are even harder! So, happy Father’s Day to you dad and all the other pops out there. I’m happy I have the chance to come back in a few weeks, but [...]

McSorley’s Irish Pub

June 15th, 2008 | Culture, Nightlife

McSorley’s Irish Pub is a place that even some Californians have heard of. It is in contention for the oldest bar in NYC (lots of places claim this). More notably, this fine establishment did not allow women to enter the place, let alone drink there, until the 1970’s. I’m not sure if [...]

Bad Boy

June 15th, 2008 | General

I’ve been a bad boy the past week.  I’ve neglected you readers in ways that you ought not ever forgive me.  Alas, good excuses abound as my buddy, Matt Wilson, fully surfed my couch for the better part of 6 days.  Entertaining him (when Mario Kart battles were not raging) wiped out my time and [...]

1 Year

June 5th, 2008 | Human Stupidity

Celebrate! Year one is done! I don’t know exact dates, but it was the start of June 2007 that I moved to the east coast and started this blog shortly after. Thanks to the people at Gateway for starting this thing up for me and everyone for reading. So far there are about 125 Bald [...]

Enter the Trailer Park!

June 3rd, 2008 | Culture, Nightlife

We had some visitors in town who were working on the mixed martial arts show in Norwalk. This, combined with the fact that they are from the hometown-neighboring town of Stockton, we felt we could let our less sophisticated side out from the closet. We planned for a night at the Upright Citizens Brigade [...]

Mentally Dispatching Wolves

June 1st, 2008 | Culture

I was at the Guggenheim a while ago and this pack of wolves attacked me while walking from one gallery to the next. You can see in this photo what happens to packs of wolves when they attack Matt Moore!!

Total dumbfoundness is required to do something of this magnitude, hence the look on my face.

This is going to be where the search and other helpful things go. Patience baldies!
